A Wife Less Ordinary

I'm going to redo V's bathroom. V's and E's, but E currently doesn't use it. It is tiny, the only thing about my house that I'm not crazy about. And only because I have two girls and I don't ever want to move. So tiny means, crazy amount of organization and storage solutions.

I don't want anything themey. I would prefer something modern, but I also really love a soft, feminine, vintage look. But I think I'm going to go with something bright and modern.

I am inspired by these colors:

But the room is so small I worry that that much aqua might be a mistake. Perhaps just one wall, but which one?

I want a digital clock in there so children have no excuses when it's school years.

I want open and closed storage.

I want color coded towel sets. I want double towel rods. I want to look into towel hooks.

Have to make Dan install medicine cabinet.

Under sink storage shelf.

Corner tension rod caddy.

I want to spend very little money.

ETA: and if I could throw in something marie antoinette-esque, it would be perfect. Fans perhaps?

I had this brainstorm last night that I should have specific post themes if I'm trying to update more often. Which I am. Things like, photo of the week, weekly update, nostalgia Friday, Drunk thoughts, blah blah. It will probably come to nothing since I'm often too busy going to bed at seven to post. But we'll see.

So with that I give you, Craft Tuesday! (It is Tuesday right?)

Today we made a house out of an empty box of Ritz crackers. I used the tutorial here and it took like, two minutes to assemble. Then she was content to decorate her house while I was able to get stuff done. Or surf the internet.

The examples at the tutorial are far more fancy than ours but ours was still fabulous.

Before decorating started.

The proud artist and her lovely smile.

There are many ways you can go with this craft; covering in paper, acrylic paint, etc. And it really did keep her occupied and livened up the dull snow day we've been experiencing.
